Our Mission

Wine Country Runs, founded in 1997, is a non-profit whose sole purpose is to support local charities and youth sports organizations in Northern San Luis Obispo County.  The Half Marathon is set along picturesque country roads and vineyards in beautiful Paso Robles, California.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the half marathon event have pace runners?

A: No. However, there will be a pace car.

Q: What do I need to bring on race day?

A: All participants should wear their bibs, which should be clearly displayed while running. Please bring a photo ID to verify age, and a method of payment if you plan to partake in the beer and wine bar. Don’t forget your complimentary breakfast ticket!

Q: Where will race results be posted?

A: Race results will be posted on the leaderboard at the venue, and on our website.

Q: Are baby carriers or backpacks allowed on the course?

A: Depends. Baby carriers and strollers are allowed on the 5K course, but not the half marathon course. Sorry.

Q: Is there a group registration form that I can fill out for my company?

A: Yes, the more the merrier! Contact us, and we’ll get you the form.

Q: Will there be on-site, same-day registration?

A: Yes. You may register at the race venue on Saturday or Sunday preceding the race start times. Please bring your ID and form of payment.

Q: Are there overnight accommodations at the race venue?

A: Yes. Participants and guests can book rooms directly with CaliPaso Winery & Villa by visiting their website.

Q: Can I get a refund?

A: Sorry, no refunds or transfers are allowed.

Q: Will there be aid stations on the course?

A: Yes. There will have 5 aid stations located along the half marathon course. Many of our beneficiaries staff these stations and make the race so much fun!

Q: Are pets allowed on the course?

A: No. Please, no pets at the venue either.
